International Students Symposium

On February 11th, 2011, the Owen Career Management Center (CMC) hosted an International Student Symposium aimed at discussing and addressing common challenges, opportunities, and issues faced by international students seeking US employment. The event featured an H1B presentation and one-on-one counseling from immigration attorney David Ware from New Orleans-based David Ware & Associates, as well as workshops offered through the International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) office. The day concluded with a diverse panel of international Owen alumni who have transitioned successfully into US employment. Returning to Owen to share their insights and advice with current students were Edmundo Cepeda, Senior Manager Strategy Analytics at Asurion, Shavir Nagarwalla, Performance & Integration Analyst at Vanderbilt Office of Investments, Ming Rummery, Director Supply Chain Strategic Initiatives at Asurion, and Jerry Tseng, Data Asset Strategy Manager at Citigroup.
