Distinguished Alumnus/a Award Nomination Form

The Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes one graduate who has exhibited outstanding leadership and service in both the professional and philanthropic realms. The recipient will have also contributed significantly to the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management by donating time, energy, talent or financial support and will have built networks through class activities, regional programs such as CityOwen, board involvement and service to current students and faculty.

The award will be presented at the Owen Circle Celebration Dinner during Alumni Weekend. A plaque listing all Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management Distinguished Alumni Award recipients will hang in Management Hall at Owen.

Selection guidelines:

  • Nominees must be graduates of the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.
  • Nominees must occupy senior management positions (e.g., executive vice president, vice president) and have demonstrated successful performance at this level.
  • Nominees' companies must be financially successful and have a reputation for sound business ethics and excellent management practices.
  • Nominees will have made significant achievements in either their chosen field or outside the professional arena.
  • Nominees must be active within the Owen community through recruiting, alumni events, placement or corporate or personal giving..

Please nominate a deserving candidate today. The deadline is February 1, 2013. You may also print the form and fax it to (615) 322-0073. Nominations will be accepted from Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management alumni, faculty and staff.

Please note that all submissions received after February 1, 2013 may be considered for the 2014 Distinguished Alumnus/a Award.
