Christie St. John

Christie St. John returned to Vanderbilt in October 2012, from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where she has served as Senior Associate Director of Admissions and Recruiting since 2004. St-John began her MBA admissions career at Vanderbilt in 1997, where she oversaw international recruitment. She brings industry experience outside of education, ranging from publishing to crude oil trading to hoteling in marketing roles—knowledge that helps us incorporate the needs of the Career Management Center with our admissions strategies. Christie’s international admissions experience both at Vanderbilt and Dartmouth is extensive; she has traveled to almost 70 countries, speaks French and Italian fluently and Spanish conversationally (and can read Portuguese), and has developed valuable relationships with educational advisors around the world. St-John handles recruiting and admissions for the full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) and one-year Master of Finance (MSF) programs.

Kim joined Vanderbilt in November 2012. She began her career in international higher education in the selection, academic placement and advising of Latin American and Caribbean Fulbright scholars while at LASPAU: Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas, based at Harvard. This involved traveling throughout Latin America, interviewing faculty for graduate study in the U.S. At the Johnson School at Cornell she traveled the world, overseeing international MBA admissions and directorship of the academic international exchange program. Most recently she consulted in international MBA recruitment and sourcing executive speakers and curriculum development for MBA international immersion trips for multiple graduate and executive business programs and also led a program in women’s leadership for emerging female leaders from Afghanistan. Kim is fluent in Spanish, having studied a year at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and lived in Honduras and Chile as a two-term Peace Corps volunteer focused on micro enterprise development and microfinance. She is curious about other cultures and passionate about international travel and cuisines. New to Nashville, she looks forward to exploring the wonderful restaurant scene.
Consuela Knox

Consuela Knox earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee. She spent six years as an employee of General Motors. Her first four years of employment were part of a cooperative education program at Saturn Corporation. Then she accepted an industrial engineering position with Delphi Corporation. Her major responsibilities included workload distribution, facilities layout, operator-machine interface design and redesign and ergonomic analyses. Consuela entered the Vanderbilt MBA program with two areas of focus—Operations and Human and Organizational Performance. She served as Co-President of the Human and Organizational Performance Association, VP of Owen Black Students Association and VP of the Christian Business Fellowship. Upon graduation in May 2004, she accepted a position with Owen as Associate Director of Admissions. In July 2008, Consuela accepted the position of Senior Associate Director and Diversity Recruiting Manager of Admissions. She enjoys dancing, outdoor sports and involvement in Christian ministry.
Jill Dunham

Jill Dunham earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human and Community Service from Lenoir-Rhyne University. For two years, Jill served as a college recruiter and admissions officer for the University of Tennessee's incoming freshman classes. She then went on to the University of Edinburgh for graduate school and spent three years in Scotland living and working. After returning to the States, Jill began working for Harvard Business School coordinating and implementing the Learning Teams Initiative, a program for first-year HBS students with a focus on team building and collaborative working models. After HBS, Jill joined the Cradlerock Group, a boutique-consulting firm, overseeing and facilitating domestic and international leadership development workshops for a $25 billion corporation, a leading worldwide consulting firm and a top U.S. business school. Jill joined the MBA Admissions team at Owen as Associate Director in August 2009. She enjoys rock climbing, reading, making pies, listening to live music, finding “hole-in-the-wall” restaurants and traveling.
Maura Clark

Prior to joining the Owen Admissions team, Maura served as a Career Management Advisor in the Kogod School of Business at American University. While at Kogod, she coached business students in the areas of career and professional development, instructed a career exploration course for American University students, created and presented workshops, and facilitated career events for the business school community. Before moving to Washington, D.C. to pursue her Master’s degree, she began her career directing a professional development program at an association in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her undergraduate education included concentrations in Women’s Studies and Education. In her spare time she enjoys finding great restaurants, antiquing, traveling, Zumba, reading and spending time with friends and family. She was born and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania and does love chocolate.

Bailey Garrett

Bailey Garrett earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in Johnson City, Tennessee, where she served as the Orientation and Preview Assistant, coordinating the first-year orientation program. While working in the Office of Student Affairs, she went on to pursue her education earning a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Counseling in the spring of 2009. Prior to joining the Admissions Team in March 2011, Bailey worked in Student Services at a career college in Nashville where she was responsible for student retention, tracking students' academic progress and planning student activities and graduation. Bailey is an avid college football fan and can often be found cheering on her favorite teams in the fall. She loves Mexican food, music, running, coffee and sending cards.
Sharon Scott

Prior to joining Owen in January 1989, Sharon worked in the hotel industry for three years as a Reservations Sales Representative for Wyndham Hotels in Corpus Christi and Austin, Texas. Before working in the hotel industry, Sharon worked for two years at the Harris County Appraisal District in Pasadena, Texas, as a Real Property Appraisal Clerk and for eight years in the Quality Control Lab for Libby McNeill and Libby Cannery in Northern California. Sharon and her identical twin sister, Karen, were born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. Although a proud Texan, she lived in the Sacramento, California, area for 13 years and has lived in the Nashville area since 1988. Sharon is married to her high school sweetheart, has four grown children and is the proud grandmother of six grandchildren. Sharon’s interests include emerging songwriters and country music.
Cori Washington

Cori earned a BA in Broadcasting Communications and Electronic Media from Eastern Kentucky University in 2004. Cori has extensive experience in the area of higher education administration. Beginning her career as the student assistant in the office of Enrollment Management at Eastern Kentucky University, she moved on to become the Development Assistant and the Data Coordinator in the Office Of Institutional Advancement at Fisk University, a position she held for 6 years. In 2011, Cori accepted her current position with Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management where she serves as the Communications Assistant for the Career Management Center and Admissions office. In this role, she is the first point of contact for students, recruiters and prospective applicants to the school.
Heather Yockey

Heather serves as Event Manager for MBA, MSF, MAcc, EMBA Admissions Departments as well as the Career Management Center, coordinating both on and off campus events as well as supporting departments as requested by the Chief Recruiting Officer. Her past experience in the event industry have helped her to define event goals, objectives and specific implementation plans. When she is not planning an event, she enjoys photography, music, coffee shops, traveling, and exploring her favorite part of the city—East Nashville.
Elizabeth Bumpous

Elizabeth serves as Program Assistant for the MS Finance and MBA programs. She supports the MS Finance Faculty Director, the lead admissions counselor for MSF and works closely with the application management team. Elizabeth has been the program assistant for the Executive MBA program since leaving the law school admissions team in 2009, and her knowledge of Vanderbilt systems is invaluable ongoing. Elizabeth is a recent empty nester, having just successfully sent her daughter to her freshman year at Sewanee; her son is a sophomore at Rhodes.
Jennifer Masterson

Jennifer Masterson joined Vanderbilt University in 2010. Jennifer helped manage the admissions process for the MAcc and MAcc Valuation programs, before becoming the Executive Assistant for the Chief Recruiting Officer. Jennifer comes to Vanderbilt with a good bit of admissions experience having previously worked as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Lipscomb University, Associate Director of Admissions and Operations Management at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and as Implementation Manager at ApplyYourself (now Hobson’s ApplyYourself – the world’s most widely used online application system). Jennifer has lived in Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia but now resides in Franklin, TN with her husband and 3 children.

Tami Fassinger began her MBA career in marketing and product management with NCR Corporation in Ohio, focusing on new product releases and marketing communications. Her recruiting and training expertise includes corporate recruiting and staffing in the consulting industry as a western regional director and national recruiting director for Cap Gemini; executive search work in the technology and consulting industries for MRI in Denver; consulting to the Graduate Management Admission Council® in Virginia, owner of the GMAT® exam; university administration including EMBA degree and executive non-degree program management, MBA career services and MBA student recruiting and admissions at Vanderbilt. While at Vanderbilt's career services office, Tami co-authored Adams Job Interview Almanac, a popular business career book published in 1996. As Chief Recruiting Officer, Tami’s role helps students take a more career-centric approach to evaluating their choice of program within the Owen portfolio as well as maximizing potential career opportunities once enrolled.
A native of Sarasota, Florida, Tami lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband, two daughters and her dog. She writes fiction, likes to cook, loves to eat, and spends as much time as possible outdoors or in Nashville's eclectic music venues.
