Discover Weekend I and II
November 7-9, 2008 or February 6-8, 2009
A Discover Weekend gives prospective students a preview of this unique, fantastic place without having to miss a day at the office. It’s a great way to learn about the Vanderbilt MBA experience. You’ll enjoy faculty presentations, student and alumni panel discussions, a career management presentation, an admissions and financial aid workshop, campus tours, and social events.
There will be two Discover Weekends for applicants for the MBA Class of ’11. Choose the date that works best for you. Your Discover Weekend will start with an optional Friday evening reception and conclude with a reception downtown Saturday night. Admissions interviews may be available and must be scheduled in advance.
Diversity Symposium

This event is especially targeted for individuals interested in the advancement of U.S. minorities in business. The Symposium helps candidates learn about student life, challenges facing minorities in business, and Vanderbilt's commitment to diversity. Admissions interviews may be available and must be scheduled in advance.
Women in Business Symposium
February 6, 2009
This event is especially targeted for individuals interested in learning about the challenges and opportunities facing women in business. Hear first-hand from students and alumni on what life is like as a woman in the Vanderbilt MBA program and in post-MBA careers. A corporate guest speaker will let participants know why businesses value diversity and give advice on how to succeed. Come learn more about Vanderbilt's commitment to diversity!
Welcome Weekend*
April 3-4, 2009
This weekend for admitted applicants includes a welcome reception, corporate presentation, faculty presentations, panel discussions, a career management workshop, a discussion of financial aid and transition issues, campus tours, an optional personal meeting with an admissions officer, and a student-guided tour of Nashville's great nightlife.
Whether you have already chosen to enroll at Owen or if you are still trying to decide, this is the perfect way to gain very important information about the Vanderbilt MBA curriculum, culture, career opportunities, and surrounding community.

An exceptional opportunity for exceptional people
Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management considers exceptional candidates who currently reside in the continental United States for the prestigious Dean’s Scholar award. Priority consideration is given to those who apply by our January deadline as participation in Dean's Scholar Weekend is mandatory.
We will nominate about 25 outstanding admitted applicants and invite them to join us for special scholars’ events. Our guests for Scholars’ Weekend will participate in a variety of activities to become familiar with the Vanderbilt MBA curriculum, culture, career opportunities, and surrounding community. And they’ll have the opportunity to compete for selection as a Dean’s Scholar, the highest honor for an incoming student.
